Offer terms

The conditions behind every offer on this site, in plain English. They apply alongside the written agreement you sign for any paid work, and we'll point you back here before you commit.

The spec guarantee

If it doesn't do what we agreed in the spec within 30 days of go-live, we'll fix it or refund you.

  1. What it's measured against. The written spec you sign off before we start building. If the software doesn't do something the spec says it will, that's covered.
  2. How to claim. Tell us in writing (email is fine) within 30 days of go-live, saying which part of the spec it doesn't meet. Go-live is the date we hand the working software over for your team to use.
  3. What we do. We fix it at no cost to you. If it isn't fixed within 30 days of your claim, you can choose a refund of the full fee instead. The choice is yours, not ours.
  4. Working with us on the fix. You work with us on the fix: access to the system, examples of the jobs it gets wrong, and answers to our questions. If you can't give us what we need to fix the issue, the guarantee no longer applies.
  5. Refunds. Paid within 14 days of you choosing one. If you take a refund, we take the software off our hosting and you stop using it. You keep the written plan and spec.
  6. What isn't covered. Requests for things the spec doesn't include — those are new work and we quote for them separately — and problems caused by changes to your other systems that we weren't told about.

Post-launch support

Every build includes 30 days of support from go-live at no extra cost: fixing faults, answering your team's questions and small adjustments within the agreed spec. After that, support is covered by a care plan if you choose one.

Care plans

PlanPer monthNew developmentRepliesTerm
Care £250 2 hours a month Replies within 2 working days Monthly, cancel with one month's notice
Care Plus £750 10 hours a month Replies within 1 working day Monthly, cancel with one month's notice
Partner £1,500 16 hours a month Replies within 4 working hours Minimum 12 months, then 3 months notice
  1. Every plan includes hosting, security and software updates, backups, and fixing faults.
  2. Development hours are for new work and changes. Unused hours don't roll over to the next month. Work bigger than the month's hours is quoted separately.
  3. Reply times are working hours and days: 9am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. A reply means a person responding to you, not necessarily a fix.
  4. Partner includes a fixed-price build, with its scope agreed in a written plan and fixed-price quote before you sign. It has a minimum term of 12 months, then 3 months notice. Leaving before the minimum term ends means paying the remaining months of the minimum term. The build is included in the monthly fee — it isn't free.
  5. Prices exclude VAT.

Case-study builds

  1. There are 3 places. A place is taken when a firm signs the build agreement, not when it applies. The offer ends when all places are taken; the offer page shows how many are left (3 today).
  2. Open to UK construction firms that price jobs individually and send quotes every week. We can decline an application that isn't a good fit, and we'll say why.
  3. The discount is 30% off the build fee, priced at our standard rates. Your quote shows the full price, the discount and the total, and the fixed fee is agreed in writing with the spec before you commit. The discount doesn't apply to care plans.
  4. In return: your company name and logo on a published case study, a short quote from you, and one before/after figure we measure together. You approve the case study before it's published, and it will say you received a reduced fee in return for it.
  5. The build has the same post-launch support and the same guarantee as any build, and you own the software.
