Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information Streamlined Analytics Limited collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

Streamlined Analytics Limited is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.

We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. Questions about this notice, or about how we handle your information, should go to ben@streamlinedanalytics.co.uk.

2. What we collect

When you contact us. If you complete an enquiry or booking form we collect your name, your company name, your email address, your phone number and whatever you write in the message.

When you use the site. We record technical and campaign information about your visit — the pages you view, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser, the site or advert that referred you, and identifiers used to measure advertising. Where you arrive from an advert we also record the campaign, ad set and advert identifiers so we know which advert produced an enquiry.

We do not ask for, and do not want, special category information such as health, ethnicity or political opinions. Please do not include it in a message to us.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it — see section 7.

4. Who we share it with

We also use Plausible Analytics, which we host ourselves on our own server. It does not use cookies and does not send your information to a third party.

We will also disclose information where we are legally required to, and to our professional advisers where they need it. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Sending information outside the UK

Some of the organisations above are outside the United Kingdom, so your information is transferred out of the UK. Every such transfer is covered by a safeguard recognised under UK data protection law:

• Germany and Ireland — covered by UK adequacy regulations, which allow information to flow freely to those countries.
• Google LLC in the United States — covered by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified.

6. Meta advertising tools, and joint control

We use Meta Business Tools, including the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API, to measure whether our advertising works. For the collection of that information and its transmission to Meta, Streamlined Analytics Limited and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited are joint controllers under Article 26 UK GDPR. Meta's processing of the information after that point is Meta's own, and is not part of the joint arrangement.

We use these tools to understand which adverts lead to enquiries, to measure their performance, and to reach people likely to be interested in what we do.

The information required by Article 13(1)(a) and (b) UK GDPR about Meta Ireland, along with the lawful basis Meta relies on and how to exercise your rights against Meta, is in Meta's Privacy Policy.

We and Meta Ireland have entered into a Controller Addendum which sets out our respective responsibilities under data protection law for this joint processing. In essence: we are responsible for giving you the information in this section, and Meta Ireland is responsible for handling your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, notification and portability over the personal data it holds after the joint processing. You can exercise those rights against Meta Ireland directly.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Some cookies are needed to run the site and are always set. Everything else is set only after you agree to it — nothing for analytics or advertising loads until you choose. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using cookie settings, and withdrawing is as easy as giving.

Declining advertising also stops the enquiry information described in section 4 being sent to Meta from our server, not just the cookies in your browser.

The durations for third-party cookies are the providers' documented defaults and are set by them, not by us, so they can change. Plausible, which we host ourselves, sets no cookies at all.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and client information for the life of our relationship with you and for a further six years after it ends. That period reflects the time limit for bringing a contract claim and the length of time we are required to keep business and accounting records.

If an enquiry does not lead anywhere we keep it for a shorter period — long enough to recognise you if you come back to us, and no longer than is useful for that.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete it, in certain circumstances;
• ask us to restrict how we use it, in certain circumstances;
• ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation, where it was provided by you and we rely on consent or contract; and
• withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

You are not required by law or by contract to give us any of this information. You simply cannot use the enquiry form without it.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means that produce legal effects or otherwise significantly affect you.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority:

11. Changes to this notice

We review this notice at least once a year, and sooner if we change how we use personal information. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
